You know what they say… blondes have more fun :) Let’s talk about hair for a second! I’m a natural blonde, more on the dirty blonde side, but I’ve been getting balayage since high school. Balayage is a French hair coloring technique where the color is painted on the hair by hand as opposed to other highlighting methods. It helps give you a more natural effect with subtle transitions between the hues. I love how it brings out my natural highlights that I get from the sun, and gives my hair much more dimension, too.
Before NYFW rolled around I knew I would need to update my hair a bit. I did a bunch of research (as per usual) for salons in NYC that specialize in coloring techniques, and that’s when I found Roman K. Salon. Believe me, I do NOT mess around when it comes to my hair, and I had yet to find a salon in NYC to get my hair colored. I was still getting my hair done at home in Pittsburgh because I was so nervous lol. Roman K. Salon did not disappoint at all, and is definitely my new spot in the city. I loved it so much the first time that I just went back for a fresh Spring ‘do!
I visit Roman K. for my balayage, cut, and blowout when I need an updated look. Tammy is my hair colorist, and I’ve gone to both Elizabeth and Scott for cuts and blowouts.
